Further, it is the desire of the City to provide an opportunity for interested law firms to submit their qualifications for review. Firms selected by the City Commission shall serve as primary counsel and may, but are not required, to engage the law firm of Brown, Wood, Ivey, Petty and Mitchell, as co -counsel. The City Commission shall exercise authority over the choice of any co -counsel desired to be used by firms that are selected by the City Commission. a. Assurance that a senior partner with expertise in bond finanoing will be responsible for the legal work and will be accessible to the City to answer inquiries and discuss the progress of the issue from time to time. b. Evidence of depth of legal talent with capacity to handle bond work. o. Expertise in the field of federal income tax, project funding or other applicable specialized areas. d. Have a principal office in the Miami area. e. Provide assurance of representative minority partnership in the firm. f. Provide evidence of volume of pro bono work performed within the City of Miami. SUBMISSION OF DATA The following data shall be provided: 1. Resumes of senior partners or principals who will, be servicing the City account. 2. Resumes of associates or other affiliates that may be servicing the City account. 3. Resumes of other principals in the firm that may be servicing the City account. 4. List of fees to be charged the City of Miami at an hourly rate for each individual' working for the bond counsel; a maximum percentage of bond sale proceeds which the law firm will charge the City of Miami shall also be included. S. List of specific bond issues within the last ten years that the fi.rm or a principal has been an active participant. Show the following data: a. Purpose of issue (housing bonds. general purpose construction, eto.). b. Type of issue (G.O., Revenue). o. Size of issue and life of issue ($30M/20 years). d. Date sold and location. e. Number of bidders and interest rate of successful bidder. f. Governmental unit issuing. g. Role of firm or principal (counsel, co -counsel). h. Any problems associated with the sale and delivery of bonds. 8. Submit data relating to the size of the law firm. Data to include: a. Number of principals, partners, associates, etc. b. Office location(s). c. Resarch capabilities. d. Staff and clerical support. 7. Statement and supporting documents related to areas of expertise. 8. Statement and supporting documents assuring minority participation. 9. Statement and supporting documents relative to areas of pro bono servcies to the community.
