HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-86-0363J-86-392 5/7/86 RESOLUTION NO. 6 '. 3 3 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MINORITY AND WOMEN BUSINESS AFFAIRS AND PROCUREMENT COMMITTEE THROUGH RESOLUTION NO- 86-271, APRIL 10, 1986; ESTABLISHING THE SIZE OF THE COMMITTEE AT FIFTEEN MEMBERS; PROVIDING FOR THE CITY COMMISSION TO DESIGNATE THE CHAIRPERSON; AND PROVIDING FOR THE CITY COMMISSION TO DESIGNATE THE TERMS OF OFFICE OF SAID CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS AS TWO OR THREE YEAR TERMS. WHEREAS, on April 10, 1986, upon passage of Resolution No. 86-271, the City Commission instructed that the Guidelines for the minority and Women Business Affairs and Procurement Committee be amended as they affected the size, terms of office and chairperson; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has made the amendments and has established the size of the Committee at fifteen (15) members; and WHEREAS, documents are attached which will provide for the City Commission to designate the Committee Chairperson and the terms of office; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Minority and Women Business Affairs and Procurement Committee will be made up of fifteen (15) voting members. Section 2. The terms of offioe of the members of the committee will be as shown on the attached List of Members/Designated Terms of Office, when approved by the City Commission. Seotion 3. The Chairperson of the Committee as shown on the attached List of Members/Designated Terms of Offioe/Chairperson will be determined by the City Commission.
