After several years presenting the pageant at a local level this

year the contest will be produced by the Hispanic Heritage
Festival Committee, Inc. and WSCV-TV Channel 51 and televised
to the USA and Latin America (see schedule attached).
More than 11 million telehomes with more than 61 million
potential viewers will have the opportunity to enjoy not only the
beauty and pageantry of the contest but also the view of the
Greater Miami & the Beaches.
The "MISS HISPANIC HERITAGE PAGEANT" will be televised on Sunday
September 21 from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, according to surveys the
prime time from the standpoint of television audiences.
Included in the 2 hour program will be a visitor and business
promotion segment about the Greater Miami and the Beaches. Also
the name of Miami will be mentioned countless times during the
show and the swimsuit competitions will be taped outdoors showing
Miami scenes. In addition internationally recognized singers and
//��# screen personalities will perform and act as judges. All the TV
stations will heavily advertise the 1986 MISS HISPANIC HERITAGE
PAGEANT during two weeks proceeding the telecast.

Holding the "MISS HISPANIC HERITAGE" in Miami will be extremely
beneficial for promoting Miami as the prime United States tourist
resort and financial center and the Greater Miami and the Beaches
will benefit automatically from the televised spectacle.
We are formally requesting a grant of $30,000.00 towards the
promotion and production costs of the 1966 "MISS HISPANIC
HERITAGE PAGEANT- (Miss Hispanidad): We would likd to be inclu-
ded on the agenda of your next meeting in order to be able to
make a brief presentation.
