' I ro: Honorable Mayor and Members RILL: - J of the City Commission SUBJECT: Resolution Appointing One Regular Member to the Miami Waterfront PROM: Cesar H• Odio REFERENCES: Board and Two City Manager Alternates 3 ENCLOSURES: 1 w ,NF rw "It is recommended that one member and two alternates be appointed to the Miami Waterfront Board, per the attached Resolution" There is a vacancy for one (1) regular Waterfront Board Member. Additionally there are two (2) vacancies for Alternate positions. The enabling Resolutions for this Board (72-172, 81-429) provides for the City Commission to appoint representatives to this Board when necessary. At the City Commission meeting of April 10, 1986 four (4) members were appointed. Commissioner Carollo's nomination was left open. The vacancies on the Board correspond to the following categories: Group V (1) Nominated and representing the non -transient users of the City marinas, to serve until April 18, 1987, filling an unexpired term.........•.. Alternates (2) To serve in the absence of regular members until April 18, 1988, one filling the unexpired term of former member 011ie Washington as well as a These vacancies have resulted from automatic termination of the appointments of Frank Bauer and an Alternate 011ie Washington due to their absence for three consecutive meetings, in accordance with Section 7. of Resolution no. 79-172. The other vacant Alternate position is a result from the appointment of Dan Kipnis to Group II. 'This Board consists of a total of eleven (11) Members. r 86-492
