A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $15,000 FROM SPECIAL
PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS, CONTINGENT
FUND, TO COVER THE USE OF THE
MIAMI MARINE STADIUM ON JULY 4, 12,
AND 19, 1986 FOR THE 1986 SUMMER
POPS CONCERT SERIES; SAID
ALLOCATION BEING CONDITIONED UPON
THE ORGANIZERS PROVIDING 200
GRATUITOUS ADMISSION TICKETS FOR
EACH OF THE THREE CONCERTS TO THE
CITY OF MIAMI FOR DISTRIBUTION TO
UNDERPRIVILEGED INDIVIDUALS AND
UPON SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE WITH
ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY NO. APM 1-
84, DATED JANUARY 24, 1984.
WHEREAS, the Summer Pops Concert Series serves as a
summertime tourist attraction and provides family -oriented
cultural entertainment for the local community and the South
Florida area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. An amount not exceed $15,000 is hereby allocated
from Special Programs and Accounts, Contingent Fund, to cover the
use of the Miami Marine Stadium on July, 4, 12, and 19, 1986 for
the 1986 Summer Pops Concert Series.
Section 2. The herein allocation is conditioned upon the
following:
A. Providing 200 gratuitous admission tickets
to the City of Miami for each of the three
aforementioned concerts to be distributed
s among underprivileged individuals.
B. Substantial compliance with City of Miami
Administrative Policy No. APM 1-84,, dated

Dear Mr. Odio:
On behalf of the Pops -by -the -Bay, a non-profit organization, we are
requesting a personal appearance at the June 12 City Commission meeting
for the purpose of asking for a waiver of the rental fee at the Miami
Marine Stadium.
The purpose of the use of the stadium is for the Pops concerts series on
Friday, July 4; Saturday, July 12 and Saturday, July 19. As in previous
years, the City of Miami is listed as a co-sponsor. (See attachment).
We want to thank you in advance for your consideration of this request.
