A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF JULES BROTHERS UNIFORMS FOR FURNISHING WORK UNIFORMS ON A CONTRACT BASIS FOR ONE (1) YEAR RENEWABLE ANNUALLY CITY WIDE AT A TOTAL PROPOSED FIRST YEAR COST OF $80,912.81; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE 1985-86 OPERATING BUDGET OF THE USING DEPARTMENITS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT uFFICLR TO ISSUE PUhCHASE ORDERS FOR THESE MATERIALS. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received April 21, 1986 for the furnishing of Work Uniforms on a contract basis for one (1) year renewable annually, City -Wide; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirty seven (37) potential suppliers and two (2) bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1985-86 Operating Budget of the various departments; and WHEREAS, these materials will be used by various City Departments for the purpose of replacing worn uniforms and in compliance with the City's Labor Agreement; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the bid received from Jules Brothers be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; IJOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The April 21, 1986 bid Jules Brothers Uniforms for furnishing Work Uniforms on a contract basis for One (1) year renewable annually City -Wide at a total proposed first year amount of $80,912.81 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the 1985-86 Operating Budget of the Various Departments.
