A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF P.N.M.
CORPORATION IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT OF
$394,459.13, TOTAL BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR
CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PHASE II B-4515;
WITH MONIES THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM "CITY WIDE
PAVING IMPROVEMENTS - FY '86" ACCOUNT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $394,459.13 TO COVER THE CONTRACT
COST; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM; AND
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE
OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR OBJECTIONS TO THE
ACCEPTANCE BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION BY P.N.M. CORPORATION
OF CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE II B-
4515 UPON SATISFACTORY COMPLETION OF SAID
CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received May 7, 1986, for City
Wide Highway Improvement - Phase II B-4515; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Public Works
recommend that the bid received from P.N.M. Corporation be
accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Appropriation Ordinance
No. 9939, as amended, was adopted on December 20, 1984, and
monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract,
project expense, and incidentals from the account entitled "City
Wide Paving Improvements - FY '86", as set forth under Section
4.Street Improvements.A.38, of said ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:

Section 1. The May 7, 1986, bid of P.N.M. Corporation in
the proposed amount of $394,459.13, for the project entitled
City Wide Highway Improvement - Phase II B-4515, for the total
bid of the proposal, based on unit prices, is hereby accepted at
the price stated therein.
Section 2. The amount of $394,459.13 is hereby allocated
from the account entitled "City Wide Paving Improvements -
FY '86" to cover the cost of said contract.
Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter
into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami with P.N.M.
Corporation, for City Wide Highway Improvement - Phase II B-
4515, total bid of the proposal.
Section 4. Subject to a report by the City Manager stating
that P.N.M. Corporation has satisfactorily completed the
construction of improvements designated as City Wide Highway
Improvement - Phase II in City Wide Highway Improvement - Phase
II District B-4515, the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
a notice in a newspaper published in the City of Miami, Florida,
stating that at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at a
certain day and hour to be determined by the City Clerk, the
Commission will hold a public hearing to any objections by
persons interested in or affected by City Commission acceptance
of the completed construction of City Wide Highway Improvement -
Phase II in City Wide Highway Improvement - Phase II District
B-4515.

CHANGE 1 OF 1:
Sealed bids for construction of this improvement
will not be received on Thursday, May 8, 1986. The
new date for receipt of bids will be Wednesday,
May 7, 1986.
The time of the bid opening will remain the same,
i.e. 11:25 a.m.
THIS ADDENDUM IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE BIDDING AND CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS AND SHALL BE MADE A PART THEREOF.

Sealed bids for construction of CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPP,OVEMENT-
PHASE II B-4515 will be received by the City ,(Mager and the City

Florida 33133, after which time and at which place they will be
publicly opened and read.
Briefly, the work will include the construction of approximately
0.7 mile of streets in the area bordered by N.W. 17 Street, N.W. 19
Street, N. W. 7 Avenue and N.W. 9 Avenue.
Construction will include the following: clearing and grading,
construction of asphaltic pavement, concrete curb & gutter,
concrete sidewalk, storm sewer facilities and landscaping. The
estimate for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. New
requirements will allow bidders to furnish a performance bond and
a bid bond in accordance with Resolutions No. 84-423, and No.
84-873.
For technical questions regarding the plans and specifications
please contact William A. Mackey, P.F..., Highway Design Engineer, at
(305) 579-6865.
All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to
Bidders and Specifications. Plans and specifications may be
obtained from the office of the Director, Department of Public
Works, 275 N.W. 2 Street (4th Floor), Miami, Florida, on or after
April 10, 1986. There will be a $20 deposit required for each set.
Deposits will be refunded only upon return of p a s and
specifications, unmarked and in good condition within two (2) weeks
after the opening of the bids.
Prospective bidders are alerted to the provisions of Ordinance No.
10062 regarding allocation of contracts to minority vendors. Those
minority or target area contractors/small businesses interested in
submitting bids are advised to contact Contractors Training and
Development, Inc., 5800 N. W. 7 Avenue, Suite 212, telephone
754-49039 if they require assistance in preparing their bid
packages.
Proposal includes the time of performance, and specifications
contain provision for liquidated damages for failure to complete
the work on time. The City Commission reserves the right to waive

En breve, el trabajo incluirA la construccibn de aproximadamente
0.7 millas de calle en el Area limitada por las N.W. 17 Street,

La construccibn incluirb to siguiente: limpieza y nivelacibn,
pavimento asfAltico, cunetas y contenes de concreto, aceras de
