This project was designated as a Black Minority set - aside under the provisions of Ordinance No. 10062-Minority and Women Business Affairs and Procurement Ordinance. Blocks 43 and 36 cannot be awarded at this time since the City has not completed the acquisition of all property on these blocks. However, two structures on Block 44 will be demolished upon the relocation of the Miami Rescue Mission and Art Craft, Inc., which is anticipated in early October. In addition, the subject buildings are vacant and have since become nuisances harboring vagrants and undesirable activities. They present a hazardous situation to the surrounding community as well as to Fire and Police response. 86-530;..
