HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-10137ORDINANCE NO.. , .A 0. 13 7 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 9939, ADOPTED DECEMBER 201 1984, AS AMENDED, THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE, BY ESTABLISHING A NEW PROJECT ENTITLED; "PRELIMINARY BOND EXPENSE" AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR IT'S OPERATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $110,000 FROM GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS-1986 ISSUES; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City of Miami plans to issue $22,000,000 in City General Obligation Bonds - Series 1986; and WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 86-437 on June 12, 1986 fixing certain details concerning $12,000,000 Police Headquarters and Crime Prevention Facilities Bonds, $5,000,000 Storm Sewer Improvement Bonds, $3,000,000 Sanitary Sewer Street System Bonds and $2,000,000 Street and Highway Improvement Bonds of the City of Miami, Florida and directing publication of notice of sale of said bonds; and ' WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 86-435 on June 12, i 1986 approving the City Attorney's selection and authorizing the employment of the law firm of Greenberg, Traurig, Askew, Hoffman, Lipoff, Rosen and Quental, P.A. to serve as Primary Bond Counsel for the issuance of $22,000,000 City General Obligation Bonds - Series 1986 subject to a maximum payment of. $22,000; and WHEREAS, in addition to legal fees, it is necessary to obtain professional and other services such as financial advisors, accountants, rating agencies and printing services; and WHEREAS, each bond issue shall pay a proportionate share of the preliminary bond expenses incurred; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 9930, adopted Oocdmbee 20, 1084, is hereby amended in the following particulars: 1/ "Section 1. The following appropriations hereby made by use, fund and project title include previously authorized projects and fund appropriations for implementation of all municipal capital improvements of the City of Miami, Florida. The source of revenues to support the herein appropriations are hereby identified by fund and project: Total Appropriations ($ x 000) 1, Municipal Use GENERAL GOVERNMENT A. Capital Projects 5. Preliminary Bond Expenses 311000 $ 110.0 (a) $ 60.0 - 1986 Police G.O. Bonds (b) $ 25.0 - 1986 Storm Sewer G.O. Bonds (c) $ 15.0 - 1986 Sanitary Sewer G.D. Bonds (d) $ 10.0 - 1986 Street and Highway Improvement G.O.Bonds Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall not be affected. 1/Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted.
