RESOLUTION NO. 86 20
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK
OF IR"�` N-GREENWELL, INC. AT A TOTAL COST
OF $190,783.54 FOR EAST LITTLE HAVANA
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE I - (BID "A")
IN EAST LITTLE HAVANA HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT H-4487; AND AUTHORIZING A FINAL
PAYMENT OF $19,584.74.
WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated October 16, 1984
between the City of Miami, Florida and Irwin-Greenwell, Inc.
for EAST LITTLE HAVANA HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PHASE I (BID "A");
and
WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed and
Irwin-Greenwell, Inc. has furnished the required documents
certifying that all bills for labor and materials have been
paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract; and
WHEREAS, after a duly advertised public hearing held on.
September 11, 19869 to hear objections by persons interested in
or affected by City Commission acceptance of the completed
construction of EAST LITTLE HAVANA HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PHASE I
(BID "A") in EAST LITTLE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4487,
no objections were sustained; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the
Department of Public Works recommend that the completed work be
accepted and final payment made to the contractor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by Irwin
Greenwell, Inc. for EAST LITTLE HAVANA HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
PHASE I (BID "A") in EAST LITTLE HAVANA HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT H-4487 is hereby accepted at a total cost of
$190,783.54.
Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami are
hereby authorized to pay Irwina-Greenwell, Inc. a balance of

HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE I (BID "A") in EAST LITTLE HAVANA
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4487.

It is recommended that a resolution be
adopted accepting the completed work
performed by Irwin-Greenwell, Inc. at a
total cost of $190,783.54 for EAST LITTLE
HAVANA HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE I - (BID
"A") and authorizing a final payment of
$19,584.74.
-Irwin-Greenwell, Inc. has completed the project consisting of
constructing 0.3 mile of street, including clearing and
grading, construction of asphaltic pavement, concrete curbs
and/or gutters, concrete sidewalk, storm sewers, and
landscaping. The work is located on S.W. 2nd Street between
7th and 9th Avenues and on S.W. 7th Avenue between 1st and
2nd Streets.
The original contract amount was $194,823.75, and the
completed cost is $190,783.54. The source of funds is "East
Little Havana Street Improvements" account.
At the Commission meeting of July 31, 1984 Resolution No. 84-
908 passed, directing the City Clerk to publish a Notice of
. Public Hearing on EAST LITTLE HAVANA HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
PHASE I (BID "A") at the completion of the project.
It is now in order for the City Commission to accept the
completed work and authorize final payment, after all
conditions are met.
