HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-86-0699A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE (1) YEAR EXTENSION OF EMPLOYMENT PAST THE AGE OF 72 FOR ROSE MARTIN, TYPIST CLERK II, DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION SERVICES, EFFECTIVE JULY 16, 1986, THROUGH JULY 18, 1987, WITH THE PROVISION THAT IN THE EVENT OF A ROLLBACK OR LAYOFF, ROSE MARTIN'S PHYSICAL CONDITION SHALL BE REEVALUATED TO DETERMINE IF HER CONDITION IS SATISFACTORY FOR CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT; FURTHER PROVIDING THAT ALL FUTURE REQUESTS FOR EXTENSION OF EMPLOYMENT BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE COMMISSION ON A YEARLY BASIS FOR ITS REVIEW. WHEREAS, the Civil Service board, on July IS, 1986, unanimously reoommended the approval of employment past the age of 72 for Rose Martin, Typist Clerk II, Department of Fire, Resoue and Inspeotion Servioes; and WHEREAS, the City Physioian has determined that the physioal oondition of said Rose Martin is satisfaotory for oontinued employment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Seotion 1. A one (1) year extension of employment past the age of 72 is hereby granted for Rose Martin, Typist Clerk II, Department of Fire, Rescue and Inspeotion Servioes, effeotive July 18, 1986, through July 18, 1987, with the provision that in the event of a rollbaok, or layoff, Rose Martin's physical oondition shall be reevaluated to determine if her oondition is satisfaotory for oontinued employment. Seotion 2. All future requests for extension of employment shall be brought before the Commission on a yearly basis for its review. Carte PROM: Executive Secre ry R[FERLNCes: Civil Service Board ENCLOSURES: At its meeting of July 15,- 1986, the Civil Service Board considered the request of Rose Martin, Typist Clerk II, in the Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services Department, for an extension of employment past the age of seventy-two (72) for a period of two (2) years, to be effective July 16, 1986 to July 15, 1988. The Board noted that K.E. McCullough, Director, Department of Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. Department, had recommended approval of the request and that Dr..Juan Milera, City Physician has found Rose Martin physically qualified to continue employment for the additional two (2) years.
