FOR FURNISHING AIR CONDITIONING MAINTENANCE AT THE COb1PUTER DEPARTMENT ON A CONTRACT BASIS FOR ONE (1) YEAR RENEWABLE ANNUALLY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION AT A TOTAL PROPOSED FIRST YEAR COST OF $7,212.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE INTERNAL SERVICES FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS SERVICE. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received July 16, 1986 for the furnishing of Air Conditioning Maintenance at the Computer Department to the Department of General Services Administration; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty nine (29) potential suppliers and five (5) bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the Internal Services Fund; and WHEREAS, this service will be used by the Department of General Services Administration for the purpose of providing Air Conditioning Maintenance Service at the Computer Department; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of General Services Administration recommend that the bid received from Johnson Controls, Inc. be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The July 16, 1986 bid of Johnson Controls, Inc. for furnishing Air Conditioning Maintenance to the Department of Computers on a contract basis for one (1) year renewable annually for the Department of General Services Administration at a total proposed first year cost of $7, 212.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Internal Services Fund. 8101 NINE c`'ON MG Or SEP 11 Section 2.
