FOR FURNISHING TWELVE (12) INDUSTRIAL VACUUMS TO THE DEPARTML OF SOLID WASTE AT A TOTAL PROPOSED COST OF $8,992.80; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM �# THE 1985-86 GENERAL FUND ACCOUNT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT` THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received August 25, 1986 for the furnishing of twelve (12) Industrial Vacuums to the Department of Solid Waste; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty one (21) potential suppliers and nine (9) bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1985-86 General Fund Account; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Solid Waste for the purpose of keeping the sidewalks in the City Business District clean; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Solid Waste recommend that the bid received from Barco Chemical, Inc. be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The August 25, 1986 bid of Barco Chemical, Inc. for furnishing twelve (12) Industrial Vacuums to the Department of Solid Waste at a total proposed cost of $8, 992.80 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the 1985-86 General Fund Account. 11 Section 2.
