RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING REDUCED GREENS
FEES OF 50% OF SEASONAL RATES TO THE
PARTICIPANTS OF THE ANNUAL NORTH -SOUTH
GOLF TOURNAMENT TO BE HELD FEBRUARY 25-28,
1987, AT THE CITY OF MIAMI COUNTRY CLUB IN
MIAMI SPRINGS, PROVIDING THAT: 1) ELECTRIC
CARTS ARE MANDATORY; 2) PRIZES ARE PURCHASED
FROM THE MIAMI SPRINGS PRO SHOP; AND 3) THE
AWARD BANQUET IS SCHEDULED AT THE MIAMI
SPRINGS CLUBHOUSE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has, for the past 32 years, supported
the efforts of the Annual North -South Golf Tournament; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Department of Parks,
Recreation and Public Facilities that continued support be granted
in terms of reduced greens fees for tournament participants;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Reduced greens fees at 50% of applicable seasonal
rates are herebyestablished for
participants of the Annual North-
South Golf Tournament to be held February 25-28, 1987, at the City.
of Miami Country Club in Miami Springs, provided that: 1) electric
carts are mandatory; 2) prizes: are purchased from the Miami Springs
Pro Shop; and 3) the award banquet is scheduled at the Miami Springs
Clubhouse. a

It is recommended that reduced
greens fees be established at
50% of the applicable seasonal
rates for participants of the
Annual North -South Tournament
to be held February 25-28,
1937, at the City of Miami
Country Club in Miami. Springs,
provided that: 1) elactric
carts are mandatory; 2) prizes
are purchased from the golf
course pro shop; and 3) the
award banquet is scheduled at
the Miami Springs Clubhouse."
For the past thirty-two years the Annual North -South Golf
Tournament has been conducted at the City of Miami Country Club
in Miami Springs, and has grown into one of the largest public
pro -amateur tournaments in the state.
This prestigious event, to be held on February 25-28, 1987, will
attract approximately 300 golfers and their families from across
the southeastern states, benefiting the City of Miami
economically.
As in previous years, it is recommended that the City support
this worthwhile cause by offering reduced greens fees, at 50% of
applicable seasonal rates, to participants, provided that: 1)
