WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department
of Public Works recommend that the bid received from H & R
Paving, Inc. be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive
bid; and

WHEREAS, the Capital Improvements Appropriation Ordinance
No. 9939, as amended, was adopted on December 20, 1984, and

monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract,
project expense, and incidentals from the account entitled "Miami
Riverwalk - Phase II", as set forth under Section 3.Parks &
Recreati on.A.18 of said ordinance with additional funding

available from 1972 Parks & Recreation G.O. Bonds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY

Section 1. The September 16, 1986, bid of H & R Paving,'
Inc. in the proposed amount of $55,995.00, for the project

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for construction of MIAMI RIVERWALK - PHASE II will

3500 Pan American Drive. Dinner Key, Miami, Florida, 33133, at
which time and place they will be publicly opened and read.
The project consists of installing a paved walkway topped with
imitation Keystone, eggrock in epoxy, concrete masonry, lighting
and landscaping. The project is located under the Brickell
Avenue Bridge adjacent to the Dupont Plaza property to the east
and the Miami Riverwalk to the west.
The estimate for this project is less than $50,000. City
requirements permit bidders to furnish performance and bid bonds
in accordance with Resolutions No. 84-423 and No. 84-873.
For clarification of technical issues as presented in the
construction documents and specifications please contact Enrique
Nunez, Structures Section, at (305)579-6865.
All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions
to Bidders and Specifications. Plans and specifications may be
obtained from the office of the Director of Public Works, 275
N.W. 2 Street, 4th floor, Miami, Florida, 33128, on or after
August 28, 1986. There will be a $20 deposit required for each
set. Deposits will be refunded only upon return of plans and
specifications to the Department of Public Works, unmarked and in
good condition within two (2) weeks after the opening of the
bids.
Prospective bidders are alerted to the provisions of Ordinance
No. 10062 regarding allocation of contracts to minority vendors.
Those minority or target area contractors/small businesses
interested in submitting bids are advised to contact Contractors
Training and Development, Inc., 5800 N.W. 7 Avenue, Suite 212,
telephone (305)754-4903 if they require assistance in preparing
..their bid packages.
Proposal includes the time of performance, and specifications
contain provisions for liquidated damages for failure to complete
the work on time. The City Commission reserves the right to
waive any informality in any bid, and the City Manager may reject
any or all bids, and readvertise (B-2906,E Req. 3648).

AVISO DE LICITACION
propuestas selladas para MIAMI RIVERWALK - PHASE II seran
recibidas por el Administrador y el Secretario de la Ciudad de
Miami, Florida, a ma's tardar a las 3.1.00 a.m. el dia 16 de
septiembre de 1986, en la Oficina del Secretario, primer piso,
Ayuntamiento de Miami, 3500 Pan American Drive, Dinner Key,
Miami, Florida, 33133, a cuya hora y en cuyo lugar seran
publicamente abiertas y leidas.
Este proyecto consiste en instalar una vereda pavimentada con
imitation Keystone, guijarros en resina epoxica, mamposteria de
concreto, iluminacion y jardineria ornamental. El proyecto esta
situado debajo del puente de Brickell, entre la propiedad del
DuPont Plaza y el Miami Riverwalk.
E1 estimado para este proyecto es de menos de $50,000. Existen
regulaciones municipales, que en ciertas ocasiones, modifican los
requisitos para procurar bonos de cumplimiento y de licitacion de
acuerdo a las resoluciones No. 84-423 y No. 84-873.

Todas las licitaciones seran sometidas de acuerdo con las

Piso), Miami, Florida, a partir del 28 de agosto de 1986. Se
requerira un deposito de $20 por cada juego. Estos depositos son
reembolsables unicamente si los planos y las especificaciones se
devuelven sin marcas y en buen estado, al Departamento de Obras
Publicas, dentro de un plazo de dos (2) semanas siguientes a la
apertura de las licitaciones.
Se avisa a los interesados de las provisiones de la Ordenanza No.
10062, la cual se refiere a la otorgacion de contratos a
minorias. Aquellos contratistas/pequeflos negociantes de minorias
o de zonas objetivas que esten interesados en presentar sus
propuestas pueden comunicarse con el Contractors Training and
