HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-10164J-86-783 ORDINANCE NO, 10184 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 9939, ADOPTED DECEMBER 20, 1984, AS AMENDED, THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE, BY INCREASING THE APPROPRIATIONS FOR TWO PROJECTS ENTITLED: "MIAMI STADIUM - ROOF REPAIRS" AND "MIAMI STADIUM - PRESS BOX REPAIRS" IN THE AMOUNTS OF $100,000 AND $300oOOO RESPECTIVELY, FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDS — FUND BALANCE; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9855 on June 14, 1984, appropriating $300,000 for Miami Stadium press box repairs; and WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 10138 on July 24, 1986, appropriating $475,000 for Miami Stadium roof repairs ; and WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 86-647 on July 24, 1986, accepting the bid of Dosada, Inc. in the proposed amount of $1,049,600 for Miami Stadium press box repairs and needed roof repairs; and WHEREAS, funds have been identified in the Capital Improvement Fund to cover the estimated additional cost of $400,000 to make the aforementioned repairs including architectural and incidental charges; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY 4F MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 9939, adopted December 20, 1984, is hereby amended in the following particulars: 1/ I/Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted, Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. t The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION ADOPT THE ATTACHED PROPOSED ORDINANCE INCREASING THE APPROPRIATIONS FOR TWO PROJECTS ENTITLED "MIAMI STADIUM -ROOF REPAIRS" AND "MIAMI STADIUM - PRESS BOX REPAIRS" IN THE AMOUNTS OF $100,000 AND $300,000 RESPECTIVELY, FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDS. At the July 24th Commission Meeting, two actions were taken regarding the Miami Baseball Stadium. 1) The City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 10138 appropriating $475,000 for repairs to the roof. 2) The City Commission adopted Resolution No. 86-647 accepting the bid of Dosada, Inc. in the amount of $1,049,600 to repair the roof and renovate the press box. On June 14, 1984, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9855 appropriating $300,000 for press box repairs.
