WHEREAS, pursuant to put-lic notice, sealed bids were received September 29, 1986 for the furnishing of Rubber cove base and adhesive to the Uepartment of General Services Administration; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty one (21) potential suppliers and five (5) bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1986-87 Operating Budget; and WHEREAS, these materials will be used by the Department of General Services Administration for the purpose of completing renovations underway at the Miami Police Department 'Building; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of General Services Administration recommend that the bid received from American Carpet & Interiors, Inc. be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive hid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The September 29, 1986 bid of American Carpet & Interiors, Inc. for furnishing Rubber cove base and adhesive to the Department of General Services Administration at a total proposed cost of $7,166.80 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the 1986-87 Operating Budget.
