As representatives of the National Physique Committee of the
U.S.A (NPC), we would like schedule an appearance before the City
Commission on Thursday, December llth, 1986 to ask the City of
Miami's support in bringing the Women's and Mixed Pairs
Championships back to Miami next September. To bring the
championships back to Miami, we will need financial support for
national advertising.
On September 6th of this year, the NPC held the Women's and
Mixed Pairs National Bodybuilding Championships at the James L.
Knight Center, attracting thousands of spectators to the Miami
area. The event, under the auspices of the NPC, was also
broadcast by ESPN CABLE Network and covered by local TV and print
media. This was the first time a national championship of this
caliber has been held in Miami.
