ORDINANCE N0.
Alf ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE
FUND ENTITLED: "HISTORIC PRESERVATION:
EDUCATION' AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE
OPERATION OF SAME IN THE AMOUNT OF $28;450,
CONSISTING OF A $14,225 GRANT FROM THE STATE OF
FLORIDA: DEPARTMENT OF STATE; AND $14,225 FROM
FISCAL YEAR 1986-87 GENERAL FUND AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT: CITYWIDE HISTORIC
PRESERVATION AND PLANNING ADMINISTRATION;
CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, the United States Department of the Interior: National Park
'ry i ce administers he historic preservation program authorized by the
NatPresery ion Act of 1966, as amended; and
W EAS, an Historic Preservation Trust Fund has been established by the
State of F a under authority of Section 267.0617, Florida Statutes, which
includes a part he Federal funds apportioned annually to the State by the
United States Depa nt of the Interior and other funds appropriated by the
State legislature fo toric reservation activities; and
WHEREAS, the State'of--f-1v a. Department of State; Division of Archives,
History and Records Management has offered the City of Miami a $14,225 grant-
in-aid to promote historic preservation education; and
WHEREAS, the Commission of t _ o Ftiamf, Resolution No. 86-705,
accepted said grant-in-aid, and t Ci`grant agreement;
and `\
WHEREAS, activities to be acc plished this grant. program include
preparation of four publications exp ining an ducating the public about
the City's heritage conservation program; and
WHEREAS,
the

Department will
use exist staff and budgeted
Print Shop
fees
to meet
the fifty percent
local match��irement of the
grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CO OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA;
Section 1. The following Special Revenue Fund is hereby established and
resources are hereby appropriated as described herein:
