City of Miami Code sections 40-2fb1 and 40-202, (Ordinance #10002),
provide for the appointment of a nine member board of trustees to
administer and manage the retirement plan known as the "City of Miami
Fire Fighters' and Police Officers' Retirement Trust." Of these nine
members, one is to be selected by the City Manager, two by the Fire
Fighters' (IAFF bargaining unit) and two by the Police Officers' (FOP

the City Commission.
Last September 1985, the City Commission made some initial
appointments and constituted the first board of trustees to
administer the City of Miami Fire Fighters' and Police Officers'
Retirement Trust. Of these original appointments, two are expiring:
(1) The appointment of Robert Weilbacher was made by the Fire
Fighters from the bargaining unit represented by the IAFF
and they wish to reappoint the same individual for a term
of office which begins January 1, 1987 and expires
December 31, 1988.
(2) The appointment of Donald March, jr. was made by Police
Officers' from the bargaining unit represented by the
FOP, and they also wish to reappoint the same individual
for a term of office which begins January 1, 1987 and
expires December 31, 1988.
