The Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended,is hereby section therein ' amended by establishing a new 1. reading as follows: "Sec. 40-213.1 Cost -of -living allowance (COLA) benefits. w (A) Definitions. The following words and phrases when used in Section 40-213.1, unless the context clearly indicates, otherwise, shall have 'the following meanings. Wherever applicable, the .masculine pronoun shall include the feminine pronoun, and the singular shall include the plural, (1) Actuarial Equivalence Basis: The basis of 1 equivalent vthe 1971 Group Annuity value, determined under Mortality Table and,0% interest, using male rates for Members' and female rates for beneficiaries and joint annuitants., ' ;' (2) Actuarial Li�xpectanc The duration of - e, determined p ly payments as of the Valuation 'Date, expected month under the Actuarial Equivalence Basis, and based upon the payment captions in effect under the City of Miami Firefighters' and t polite Officetis+ 'pensiCsn 'gust. (3) COLA Fund,. The funds allocated from the City of Miami Firefighters' and Polito Officers' Retirement Trust . and segregated to provide beneEits hiar_eundeh. (d) Duration Since Retirement! The years and completed month& since the commencement of benefit payments for any member, determined as of the Valuation. (9) . Units: For each individual the number of Units shall equal the Duration since,retirement, determined as years and completed months. (10).
