Recommendation:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached
resolution appointing two (2) members to the City of Miami Latin Quarter _
Review Board. The new appointments will expire February 27, 1989.
Background:
Section 52-78 of the City Code pertaining to the Latin Quarter Review Board
provides for the appointment of Board members. Three members were appointed
on February 13, 1987 two appointments remain. Pursuant to this section the
City Commission must appoint members to two (2) vacancies on the Board for
approximately two (2) year terms of office.
The Latin Quarter Review Board assists the Planning Department by reviewing
all proposed projects in the Latin Quarter district in excess of $10,000.
The regular terms of office of the following Latin Quarter Review Board
members expire on February 27, 1987:

registration in the practive of his/
her profession, and must either be a
resident of, or have his/her principal

civic affairs of the Little Havana
Community during the last (5 years).
Resident of the City of Miami, have
their principal place of business in
the City of Miami, or have actively
participated in the Civic affairs of
the Little Havana Community during the
last five (5) years.
1 (c) Registered Architect, The alternate member shall satisfy the
Alternate Engineer, Landscape qualifications set forth in categories
Architect, Resident, (a) and (b) above.
