Odlo City Manager RECOMMENDATION INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM DATE: MAR 5 1987 RILE: SUBJECT: REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: It is respectfully recommended that t attached resolution authorizing the year lease agreement with the School of facilities at Lemon City, Athali End and Shenandoah Parks. BACKGROUND Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a lease agreement with Dade County School Board e he City Commission adopt the execution of a twenty-five Board of Dade County for use Range, Gibson, Grand, West The General Services Administration Department has been working with the School Board of Dade County on an agreement for joint use of City facilities at Lemon City, Athalie Range, Gibson, Grand, West End and Shenandoah Parks. The School Board will use the playground and recreation areas to further its educational objectives. This proposed use will not interfere with the public's or City's use of the premises. The City of Miami has suitable facilities available for use at the six aforementioned parks and is willing to cooperate in making the properties available in the most cost effective manner. The School Board of Dade County and the City have been negotiating the terms and conditions of the lease agreements since 1984. The School Board has agreed to pay a rental fee of $1.00, plus 40% of the actual cost to maintain the facilities, for a total initial payment of $101,200 for the 1986-1987 fiscal year. 7-1 87-246
