FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE (1) SANITARY SEWER PUMPING STATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AT A TOTAL PROPOSED COST OF $25,850.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE BAYFRONT PARKS REDEVELOPMENT, DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT (CIP PROJECT #331302); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received February 18, 1987 for the furnishing of one (1) Sanitary Sewer Pumping Station to the Department of Public Works; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eighteen (18) potential suppliers and two bids were received; and ® WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are avaiiaoie rrom Bayfront Park Redevelopment, Design & Development (CIP Project i #331302); and i WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Public Works in the Bayfront Park Redevelopment; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the bid received from Norton Engineering Contractors, Inc. be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1.
