WHEREAS, tiie City Coriunission adopted ordinance No. 10187 on

improvements, $450,000 for Virginia Key Part: Development, $34,000
for kennedy Park Improvements end $50,1JOO for Miami Riverwalk-
Phase II; and
WhEREAS, total expenditures for Curtis Park ir.tprovements are
�31U,000; and
VhlEkEAS, total expenditures for Virginia Key Park
Development are $516,800; and
WHEREAS, funds to cover these additional expenditures are
available in the Miscellaneous Other Revenues Fund from sales of
fill from Virginia I:ey; and
WHEREAS, total expenditures for Kennedy Park Improvements
will be $37,000; and
WHLI{EA , total expenditures for Miami Riverwalk-Phase 11
will be �60,000; and

RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached Ordinance amending the Capital Improvements
Appropriations Ordinance to reflect changes in five par'
development projects,
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities has
prepared the attached legislation which reflects increases in the
four following park projects to cover overexpenditures or planner:
additional expenditures.
Park Project Amount
Curtis Park Improvements $10,000
Virginia Key Park Development $66,800
Kennedy Park Improvements $ 3,000
Miami Riverwalk - Phase II $10,000
Honies for these increases are available from funds remaining
from the 1972 Parks and Recreation General Obligations Bonds and
Miscellaneous Revenues generated by sales of fill material from
Virginia Key.

THE REFUNDING OF ALL OF THE CITY'S OUTSTANDING
CONVENTION CENTER AND PARKING GARAGE REVENUE
BONDS DATED JULY 1; 1980; APPROVING THE NEGOTI-
ATED SALE OF THE REFUNDING BONDS AUTHORIZED
HEREIN IN AN AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $10.000 TO THE UNDERWRITERS AT AN EFFEC-
