INC.*3 Mayor Xavier Suarez. City of Miami 3500 Pan American Drive Coconut Grove Miami, Florida 33133 Dear Mayor Suarez: On behalf of the Gold -Diggers, Inc., please allow me to first extend my appreciation to you personally and the Commissioners of the City of Miami who have supported our organization in the past. I am writing to you now in hopes of gaining your continued support of the Gold -Diggers. Mr. Mayor, you and your Commissioners have so generously helped us by subsidizing the children and the elderly we bring to the theatre each year and we are asking for this again this year. Our labor of love would be so greatly rewarded by your assistance. We have just concluded our eleventh production at Gusman Cultural Center in downtown Miami with "If They Could See Us Nox,,." The title of this year's show has a very poignant meaning for us in that we have come a long Sway with this organization. The support of the community is cver increasing, spurring us on to continue our support of two wonderfully deserving charities, the Leukemia Society oTAmerica, Southern Florida Chapter and the hliami Children's Hospital. At this year's show we head the opportunity to dive tickets once again to the children afflicted with leukemia and the elderly in our community who so enjoy attending our performances. We also had the opportunity, through our group ticket sales, to provide tickets at a reduced price to large groups of senior citizens, underprivileged children and many others who would have otherwise been unable to enjoy Gusman Cultural Center and who are now looking forward to returning again. And, as you know, we were happy to assist the City of Miami by donating our talents this year at the Miss Miami Pageant. l thank you in advance for your time and consideration on our behalf and we will be anxiously awaiting your reply. We would appreciate being put on the agenda for this matter as soon as possible. If there is any further information that 1 can supply to you, please do not hesitate to contact me. cc: Com. J.L.
