A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,500 TO COVER THE RENTAL COST OF THE GUSMAN CULTURAL CENTER IN CONNECTION WITH FIVE (5) PERFORMANCES OF THE "LET FREEDOM RING" CELEBRATION TO BE HELD DURING THE MONTH OF JULY 1987 TO COMMEMORATE THE 200TH BIRTHDAY OF THE SIGNING OF THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION; SAID ALLOCATION BEING CONDITIONED UPON SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE WITH CITY OF MIAMI ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY NO APM-1- 84, DATED JANUARY 24, 1984. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. An amount not to exceed $2,500 is hereby allocated to cover the rental cost of Gusman Cultural Center for five (5) performances in connection with the "Let Freedom Ring" Celebration, during the month of July 1987, to commemorate the 200th birthday of the United States Constitution. Section 2. The herein allocation is hereby conditioned upon substantial compliance with City of Miami Administrative Policy APM-1-84, dated January 24, 1984. This organization ran formed by members of the Miami Community to recognize and celebrate the 200th Birthday of the signing at the United States Constitution by presenting, for the entire community, a program to faster understanding of the true weaning and original intention of the Constitution. We have been meeting since ?larch to prepare the gr•oundvor•k for• this Bicentennial Celebration and have received very strong community support, both financially and through the volunteered time and efforts of many community leaders. The committee is requesting financial support in the amount of 010,500 and printing services from the City of Miami. We thank you for your consideration of this project.
