A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $15,000 FROM SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND
ACCOUNTS, CONTINGENT FUND, TO COVER COSTS OF
RENTAL OF THE MIAMI MARINE STADIUM FOR THE
1987 POPS BY THE BAY, INC. CONCERT SERIES TO
BE HELD JULY 4, 11 AND 18, 1987 AT SAID
STADIUM AT A BASE RENTAL RATE OF $5,000 PER
CONCERT; SUBJECT TO AND CONTINGENT UPON
COMPLIANCE WITH SUCH CONDITIONS AND
LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY
OF MIAMI,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. An amount not to exceed $15,000 is hereby
allocated from Special Programs and Accounts, Contingent Fund, to
cover cost of rental of the Miami Marine Stadium for the 1987
Pops by the Bay, Inc. concert series to be held July 4, 11, and
18, 1987, at said stadium at a base rental rate of $5,000 per
concert.
Section 2. The aforementioned allocation and approval are
hereby subject to and contingent upon the organization's
compliance with any and all applicable administrative directives
and/or requirements as may be prescribed by the City.

On behalf of the Pops -by -the -Bay, Inc., a non-profit organization,
we respectfully request a personal appearance before the City Commission
at its meeting on June 11, to ask that the City of Miami waive the rental
fee for the use of the Miami Marine Stadium in order to hold the 1987
Summer Pops Concert Series.
The concerts are scheduled for July 4, 11 and 18, 1987. As in previous
years, the City of Miami is listed as a co-sponsor of this three-day
event. (Please see the attached photocopy of one of our 1986 ads.)
