RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK
OF P.N.M. CORPORATION AT A TOTAL COST OF
$364,46R.75 FOR CITYWIDE HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT PHASE II IN CITYWIDE HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT PHASE ii DISTRICT H-4515
C.I.P. PROJECT NO. 341153 AND AUTHORIZING
A FINAL PAYMENT OF $24,286.75.
WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated August 20, 1986
between the City of Miami, Florida and P.N.M. Corporation for
CITYWIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PHASE II C.I.P. Project No.
341153; and
WHEREAS, the work, has been satisfactorily completed and
P.N.M. Corporation has furnished the required documents
certifying that all bills for labor and materials have been
paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract; and
WHEREAS, after a duly advertised public hearing held on
July 9, 1987, to hear objections by persons interested in or
affected by City Commission acceptance of the completed
construction of CITYWIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PHASE II in
CITYWIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PHASE II DISTRICT H-4515 C.I.P.
Project No. 341153, no objections were sustained; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the
Department of Public Works recommend that the completed work be
accepted and final payment made to the contractor
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by P.N.M.
Corporation for CITYWIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PHASE II in
CITYWIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PHASE II DISTRICT H-4515 C.I.P.
Project No. 341153 is hereby accepted at a total cost of
$364,468.75.

Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami are
hereby authorized to pay P.N.M. Corporation a balance of
$24,286.75 as full and final payment for all work performed and
all materials furnished in connection with CITYWIDE HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT PHASE II in CITYWIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PHASE II
DISTRICT H-4515 C.I.P. Project No. 341153.

It is respectfully recommeided that the City Commission adopt the
a*tached resolution accepting the completed work performed by
P.N.M. Corporation at a total cost of $364,468.75 for CITYWIDE
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PHASE II C.I.P. Project No. 341153 and
authorizing a final payment of $24,286.75.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Public Works has determined that it is now in
order For the Commission to accept the completed work and
authorize final payment, after all conditions are met for Citywide
Highway Improvement Phase II C.I.P. Project No. 341153.
P.N.M. Corporation has completed the project consisting of
constructing 0.7 mile of street including clearing and grading,
asphaltic pavement, concrete curb & gutter, concrete sidewalk,
storm sewers and landscaping in an area bounded by N.W. 17 and 19
Streets and N.W. 7 and 9 Avenues.
The total payment to the contractor will be $29,990.38 less than
the original contract amount of $394,459.13 because $13,133.13 in
proposal items were not used and $16,857.25 of the $25,000 Cash
Allowance for Special Items were not used.
