FOR FURNISHI14G MISCELLANEOUS ALUMINUM BOXES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION SERVICES AT A TOTAL PROPOSED COST OF $7,835.00: ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM ACCOUNT CODE #280501-840- MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT NEW; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS EQUIPMENT, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received May 27, 1987 for the furnishing of Miscellaneous Aluminum Boxes to the Department of Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to fifteen (15) potential suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase will be available from the Account Code #280501-840 Machinery & Equipment New; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue & Inspection Services for the purpose of carrying the medical supplies that are required for Advanced Life Support Rescue Units; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of General Services Administration recommend that the bid received from Hialeah Mc Aluminum Corp. be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The May 27, 1987 bid of Hialeah Mc Aluminum Corp. for furnishing miscellaneous aluminum boxes for the Department of Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services at a total proposed cost of $7,835.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor w hereby allocated from the Account Code #280501-840 Machinery & Equipment New.
