SUCH REGISTRATION BOOKS AND RECORDS;
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE BY
PUBLICATION OF THE ADOPTION OF THIS
RESOLUTION AND THE PROVISIONS HEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. In accordance with the provisions of
Section 8 of the City Charter (Chapter 10847, Laws of Florida,
1925, as amended), a nonpartisan primary election is hereby
directed to be held in the City of Miami, Florida, at the polling
places designated on the list attached hereto and made a part
hereof and referred to as Exhibit No. 1 on Tuesday,
November 3, 1987 from 7:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. for the purpose
of nominating candidates for the offices of Mayor and two
Commissioners of the City of Miami to be each voted upon at the
general municipal election which is to be held, as provided in
said Section 8 of the City Charter unless in the primary election
a candidate from a group receives a majority vote in his or her
group in which case he or she shall be elected to the office of
the group for which he or she is a a candidate,

Section 4. The Election Clerks and Inspectors to serve
at said polling plaoes on said date shall be designated by the
Supervisor of Elections for Metropolitan Dade County, Florida,
for such purpose.

Section S. For the purpose of enabling persons to
register who are qualified to vote in said elections and who have
not registered "under the provisions of the general laws of
Florida and Chapter 16 of the Code of the City of Miami or who
have transferred their legal residence from one voting preeinot

permanent branch offioes as may be approved by the Supervisor of
Elections of Metropolitan Dade County and at said Supervisor's

Section 8: Said eleotions shall be held at the voting

records which pertain to election precincts wholly or partly

the City Manager's execution of an agreement with the
Latin Chamber of Commeroe is contingent upon funding
being appropriated in the City's 1987-88 budget
Agenda Item #14 (J-87-788, September 4, 1987) This
proposed resolution has been modified to ref leot City
Commission approval rather than its authorization of
� the reduction of MCDI's loan receivables from duper

Save Supermarket by an, amount equal to the appraised -
value of I supermarket equipment formerly owned by said
supermarket and being donated to the City by MCDI. The
revised version accurately reflects the City's
monitoring function of this agency whichexercised its
• own authority in making said, reduction. Please
substitute the attached approved resolution in your
Agenda Packet.

Agenda _ltam_ e_§a (J 81-181) The Annual Appropriation
Ordinance has been modified by excluding_ the Lav
Enforcement Trust Fund appropriation and revenue
(Section 2 at Page 2, Section 6 at Page 4). The
modification does not affect any change in the amount
of the City's General Operating Appropriations and its
exclusion is deemed necessary due to the statutory
Provisions establishing this revenue source. Fuller
explanatory language has been added in the Ordinance
for the purpose of clarity (Section 1 at Page 2,
Section 3 at Page 2, Section 4 at Page 3, and Seotion
11 at Page 6).
