A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK
OF ALFRED LLOYD & SONS, INC. AT A TOTAL
COST OF $68,740.98 FOR N.W. 14 AVENUE
SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT PROJECT C.I.R.
PROJECT NO. 351275 AND AUTHORIZING A FINAL
PAYMENT OF $2,016.15
WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated February 13, 1987
between the City of Miami and Alfred Lloyd & Sons, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed by
Alfred Lloyd & Sons, Inc. and they have furnished the required
documents certifying that all bills for labor and materials
have been paid in full in connection with the aforesaid
contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Public
Works recommend that the completed work be accepted and final
payment made to the contractor,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by Alfred Lloyd &
Sons, Inc. for N.W. 19 AVENUE SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT
PROJECT C.I.P. Project No. 351275 at a total cost of $68,750.98
is hereby approved.
Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami are
hereby authorized to pay $2,016.15 to Alfred Lloyd & Sons, Inc.
as full and final payment for all work performed and all
materials furnished in connection with N.W. 19 AVENUE SANITARY
SEWER REPLACEMENT PROJECT C.I.P. Project No. 351275.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached resolution accepting the completed work performed by
Alfred Lloyd & Sons, Inc. at a total cost of 568, ?50. 08 for N.W.
19 AVENUE SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT PROJECT C.I.P. Project No.
351275 and authorizing a final payment of $2,016.15.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Public Works has determined that it is now in
order for the Commission to accept the completed work and
authorize final payment, after all conditions are met for N.W. 19
Avenue Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project C.I.P. Project No.
351275.
Alfred Lloyd & Sons, Inc. has completed the project consisting of
constructing 860 linear feet of 8" clay pipe sewer and 300 linear
feet of 6" cast iron lateral pipe on N.W. 19 Avenue between 23 and
24 Streets & on N.W. 25 Avenue between 26 and 28 Streets.
The total payment to the contractor will be less than the original
contract amount of $84,964.41 because not all of the proposal
items and cash allowance were used.
