HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-87-0841S' 6 j 9/22/87 RESOLUTION NO. 87-841' A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE 1987 PAELLA '87 TO BE HELD OCTOBER 10, 1987, AUTHORIZING A ONE -DAY PERMIT TO SELL BEER AND WINE IN CONNECTION WITH SAID EVENT SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF ALL PERMITS REQUIRED BY LAW; FURTHER ESTABLISHING AN AREA PROHIBITED TO RETAIL PEDDLERS DURING THE PERIOD OF THE EVENT; CONDITIONED UPON THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE CITY WILL BE INSURED AGAINST ANY POTENTIAL LIABILITY AND CONDITIONED UPON ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Upon the issuance of a temporary permit by the Florida Department of Business Regulation, Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, to sell beer and wine pursuant to City Code 54-12.1, the request of Miami Dade Community College to sell beer and wine for a one -day period in connection with the Paella 187 to be held October 10, 1987, is hereby granted subject to the issuance of all permits required by law. Section 2. Pursuant to the provision of Ordinance No. 8851, enacted September 28, 1978, all retail peddlers' occupational licenses issued under the provisions of Chapter 31 of the City Code, as amended, will not be valid on October 10, 1987, during the hours of 7:00 A. M. to 12:00 midnight on N.E. 2 Avenue from N.E. 5 Street to N.E. 3 Street; N.E. 4 Street from Biscayne Boulevard to N.E. 2 Avenue; N.E. 1 Avenue from N.E. 3 Street to N.E. 5 Street, and on all intersecting streets for two blocks in all directions. Section 3.
