SILVER SLUFF HOMEOWNER OCIATIQ P.O. BOX 45-2303 • MIAMI, FLORIDA 33145 September 28, 1987 Mr. Aurelio Perez-Lugones y Legislative Administrator City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33233-0708 Dear Mr. Perez-Lugones : On Friday, September 25, 1987 AM, I called to confirm that the "Golden Arms Apart- ments" item was placed in the agenda for the City Commission meeting in October 8, 1987 at 6:00 PM. I was notified that the meeting of October 8 was cancelled. I was also notified by your secretary that she did not have any request to schedule this item; and when I told her that the mayor himself requested it during the City Commission meeting of September 8, 1987, apparently she did not have the transcripts of this meeting. I understand that the next City Commission meeting will take place in October 22, 1987; therefore I am requesting on behalf of the Silver Bluff Homeowner Association, for this item ("Golden Arms Apartments") to be included in the agenda of October 22, 1987 at 6:00 PM. Enclosed you will find a photocopy of the transcripts of the City Commission meeting where the City Mayor asked for this item to be scheduled. Thank you for your time and cooperation. If there is any problem or question, please do not hesitate to write or call me at (305)381-8610 from 10:OOAM to 4:OOPM, from Monday through Friday. Thank you again. C vo A. In May 20, 1907, Commissioner Plummer introduced a motion instructing the City Attorney to immediately commence condemnation proceedings in the property in question. The :potion further instructed the City !tanager to obtain appraisal for said property and to bring this issue back on July 23, 1987. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kennedy and passed uaanimoucly. In July 23. 1987, the personnel responsible failed to have this issue in the agenda. The issue was discussed, thanks to the interest shown by Commissioners Plummer and Carollo. Despite everybody's expectation, the appraisals were not ready. According to Mr. Pierce of the City Manager's office, the Commission and our neighbors were told in July 23, 1967, in two weeks tie will get the appraisals.
