AEROMEXICO'S ACTIVITY WITHIN THE COMMUNITY
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
During the past 20 years, AEROMEXICO has served the City of
Miami with modern jets, promoting this community by
advertising in newspapers within the Republic of Mexico and
Europe.
In the past we have participated in the Ronald MacDonald
House Auction, American Cancer Society Auction, Hispanic
Heritage Festival, Inaugural Flights to MERIDA, PARIS and
other destinations, among other events within the community
too numerous to mention.
In January 1987 AEROMEXICO held the presentation of "CANTO
VERDE" a play written by Olivia de Montelongo, a Mexican
national, which has been well acclaimed for it's cultural
message in Mexico and other countries.
We are requesting the City of Miami to waive the charges for
"A Mexican Christmas in the Grove 87" to be held at Peacock
Park on December 13, 1987.

A MEXICAN CHRISTMAS IN THE GROVE
"Christmas is for children... and for the child in each
adult," according to a group of Miami people who are
organizing a Christmas celebration designed to inspire joy in
both kids and grown-ups. It'll be a Mexican Christmas in the
Grove, traditionally known as -a "Posada" in Mexico.
Presented by Aeromexico Airlines in conjunction with the
Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce, whose President is Stuart
Sorg, and sponsored by the Mexican Association of the State of
Florida, New World Magazine, Mexican Group of Art and Culture,
and the Mexican Consulate, the POSADA will take place at
Peacock Park on McFarlane Street, in the heart of the Grove.
"It'll be a celebration of traditional values and brotherhood
among mankind," said Gabriela Ferriz, Aeromexico's Public
Relations Manager. "The Posada is the most representative of
Mexican fiestas, with its music, its carols, its dancing, its
traditional dishes, its religious -secular spirit and
especially its family orientation."
Of course, this party is for all Miami people, for all members
of the community, with which Mexico shares our common
heritage.
There will be Mexican and international entertainment,
orchestras, pinatas, arts and crafts and other events. The
Posada will be a non-profit activity, so there will be free
admission for everyone. There will be food, beer and wine
available at moderate prices.
Fernando Sanchez Mayans, the Consul General of Mexico, will
officiate at the event and it is expected that other
personalities will attend.
MERRY CHRISTMAS.
