Home My WebLink AboutR-87-0948J-87-972 10/22/87 RESOLUTION NO. 977_9 S A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $50,000 FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF OFF STREET PARKING SURPLUS REVENUES TO THE DOWNTOWN MIAMI BUSINESS ASSOCIATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROPOSAL SUBMITTED BY SAID ORGANIZATION TO THE CITY COMMISSION; CONDITIONED UPON COMPLIANCE WITH SUCH CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI; FURTHER GRANTING A FEE WAIVER RELATING TO CITY SERVICES FOR LIGHT UP MIAMI TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 25, 1987; AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING A ONE -DAY PERMIT TO SELL BEER AND WINE IN CONNECTION WITH SAID EVENT SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF ALL PERMITS REQUIRED BY LAW. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. An amount not to exceed $50,000 is hereby allocated to the Downtown Miami Business Association from the Department of Off Street Parking Surplus Revenues, in accordance with the proposal submitted by said organization to the City Commission. Section 2. The herein allocation is hereby conditioned upon compliance with such conditions and limitations as may be prescribed by the City of Miami. Section 3. The waiver of fees relating to City services for Light Up Miami to be held November 25, 1987 is hereby granted. Section 4. Upon the issuance of a temporary permit by the Florida Department of Business Regulation, Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, to sell beer and wine pursuant to City Code 54-12.1, the request of the Downtown Miami Business Association to sell beer and wine for a one -day period in connection with Light Up Miami to be held November 25, 1987, is hereby granted subject to the issuance of all permits required by law.
