Per Carey Technical institute... it is our intention to concentrate on what society has granted the category of the so called "hardcore the rejected and/or the under priviledged". We intend to propose to our maximum capacity, an equal -without any type of limitations, opportunity to any qualifying proposed participant] to earn the right to a fair place in line...in the process of obtaining a job in our diverse and multi -ethnic vastly growing job market. In order to progressively participate in the conversion movement of vocational rehabilitation or vocational implantation, there has to exist at the individuals reach, the opportunity for such. Therefore, Carey Technical institute will offer to the specifically underlined proposed participants its equally outlined opened doors of opportunities in conjunction with the Department of Human Resouces, City of Miami, as an exclusive and first time sort of Program,.. where such an immense concentration is geared towards the future progress of our multi -ethnic communities by the people of its communitites - as a non-profit movement of dedi- cation and hope for progress and prosperity. To assist minotiry groups by all available means, thus enabling them through a better education in order to n+eet their needs and therefore improve their employability. To assist in breaking off the.weifare-unemployment cycle, thus making of our trainees tax -payers who are productive in their society. V. VI, PHYSICAL FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT: Carey Technical institute is located at 901 N.W. 54th Street, Miami, Florida in 9,700 sq.f"t. of physical space. The fa- cility is comprised of large formal classrooms, a well- equipped Commuter lab, an audio visual training lab, allied health -lab, a construction workshop, electronics lab, student lounge, a library, administrative areas and a reception area. *THE INSTITUTE CAN ACCOMODATE HANDICAPPED STUDENTS. The Institute uses state-of-the-art equipment in its computing, medical, clerical anA language laboratories. This permits students to experience similar kinds of equipment that they will use in their field of work. Carey Technical Institute Inc., is a non-prorit organization. Qualified as a tax-exepted organization under section 501(c) (3) or the Internal Revenue Code of 1934. Carey Technical institute Inc., is licenced by the State Board of Independent Post Secondary, Vocational, Technical, Trade, and Business Schools, Tallahassee, Florida. A TELL GRANT: Pell Grants are awarded to students who need money to pay for their education and/or training. A Pell Grant is not a loan, so it does not have to be paid back. To get a Pell Grant, the perepeeLive student must be an undergraduate who does not already have a Bachelor's Degree. TO RECEIVE STUDENT FINANCIAL. AID FROM THESE PROGRAMS, you must: 1) De a U.S. Citizen or an elegible non-citiaen. 2) !se registered for the draft with the Selective Service, or enlisted in the armed forces if you are a man who is at least 18 years old and born after December 31, 1959. The U.S. Department of Education will- verify the registration status of a sample of student and refer to the Department of Justice the names of those students who claimed to have registered, but have not. �! 3) Have financial need. The U.S. Department of Education and your school will use this information you put on this form to determine your needs. 4) Attend a school that takes part in one or more of the programs. 5) Be enrolled at least half-time. 6) Be working wowards a degree or certificate. 7) Be making satisfactory academic progress. 8) Not be in default on any loan or owe a refund on any grant made under title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, at any Institution.
