RESOLUTION NO. 87.100()
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF A
TENNANT TRAILBLAZER ALL TERRAIN SWEEPER
VALUED AT $35,000 FROM THE TENNANT
CORPORATION FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF
PARKS, RECREATION AND PUBLIC FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, a Tennant Trailblazer All Terrain Sweeper valued at
$35,000 has been offered as a donation to the City of Miami by
the Tennant Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks, Recreation and Public
Facilities has a need for such an all terrain sweeper for use in
cleaning the City's stadiums and parks;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The donation of a Tennant Trailblazer All
Terrain Sweeper valued at $35,000 from the Tennant Corporation is
hereby accepted for use by the Department of Parks, Recreation
and Public Facilities.

Donation of Sweeper
from Tennant Corporation

It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt
the attached resolution to accept the donation of a Tennant
Trailblazer All Terrain Sweeper valued at $35,000 from the
Tennant Corporation.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities was
contacted by the Tennant Corporation regarding their donation
to the City of Miami of a Trailblazer All Terrain Sweeper.
Recently Tennant Corporation discontinued manufacturing the
Trailblazer sweeper and had one fully equipped demonstration
model of the Trailblazer left in their inventory. In
appreciation of the Parks Department's purchase of three
Trailblazers approximately four years ago, Tennant has offered
its donation. Although the Trailblazer has been discontinued,
parts and local servicing will continue to be available.
This sweeper will be used in the stadiums and parks for general
cleanup and after special events.
