HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-87-1089J-87-1082 1 1 /6/87 yam' RESOLUTION NO. 97-1089 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PLAT ENTITLED BLUE LAGOON CENTRE , A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF MIAMI; ACCEPTING THE DEDICATIONS SHOWN ON SAID PLAT; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE PLAT AND PROVIDING FOR THE RECORDATION OF SAID PLAT IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends the acceptance of the plat NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The plat entitled BLUE LAGOON CENTRE is a replat of a portion of Tract 4, all of Tracts 5, 6, and 7 and a portion of Tracts 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of "Northwest Seventh Street Garden Homesites" according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 40 at Page 28 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, all lying in Section 31, Township 53 South, Range 41 East, City of Miami, Dade County, Florida, which subject plat by reference is made a part hereof as if fully incorporated herein and which plat, together with the dedications shown thereon, and the dedications to the perpetual use of the public of all existing and future planting, trees and shrubbery on said property, is hereby accepted and confirmed by the City of Miami, Florida. Section 2. The City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the plat and cause the same to be recorded in the Public Records of Dade County, Florida. RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt a resolution accepting the plat Blue Lagoon Centre and approving recording the same in the Public Records of Dade County, Florida. BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works has reviewed this plat, and has determined that it is now in order for acceptance by the City Commission. The proposed record plat entitled Blue Lagoon Centre is a replat of a portion of Tract 4, all of Tracts 5, 6, and 7 and a portion of Tracts 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of "Northwest Seventh Street Garden Homesites" according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 40 at Page 28 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, all lying in Section 31, Township 53 South, Range 41 East, City of Miami, Dade County, Florida. The area platted consists of three (3) tracts containing 5.39+ acres. It is zoned RG-3/5 and CR-•2/7. Also attached are the following itemized papers necessary to present the Plea to the City Commission: (1) Resolution accepting the Plat (2) Engineering Report (3) Print of proposed Record Plat R7~-1p8y THE CLTY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS November 6, 1987 REPORT OF PROPOSED RECORD PLAT OF BLUE LAGOON CENTRE Located At N.W. 7 Street and N.W. 57 Avenue A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA The accompanying Plat entitled BLUE LAGOON CENTRE was prepared by Manuel G. Vera & Associates, Inc. It.is in correct form for submission to the City Commission and is forwarded with a recommendation that it be approved. PERTINENT INFORMATION REGARDING THE PLAT: I. The property platted is a replat of a portion of Tract 4, all of Tracts 5, 69 and 7 and a portion of Tracts 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of "Northwest Seventh Street Garden Homesites" according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 40 at Page 28 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, all lying in Section 319 Township 53 South, Range 41 East, City of Miami, Dade County, Florida. The area platted consists of three (3) tracts containing 5.39± acres. It is zoned RG-3/5 and CR-2/7. 2. The location of the streets and the widths conform with the standards of the Department of Public Works of the City of Miami, Florida. 3. As certified to by Manuel G. Vera, Registered Land Surveyor, this Plat complies with the plat filing Laws of the State of Florida. 4. The Certificate of Title Examination dated October 229 1987, signed by Mark R. Starkman, Attorney, indicates that the fee simple title. to the property platted is correctly vested in Mauro Hernandez, as Trustee and the plat has been correctly executed. 5. The area platted is encumbered by mortgages and the mortgage holders have executed the Plat and joined in its dedications. Page 1 of 2 M A7-1089 a 6. Since all the required subdivision improvements on this property have been previously placed and accepted, this Plat will .be forwarded to the City Commission of Miami, Florida, without the usual formality of providing Bond and Contract. 7.
