The attached resolution recommending the creation of a masterplan
for Watson Island was unanimously passed by the New World Center
Action Committee and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.
While encouraging one or more programs and masterplans for Watson
Island, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce further recommends
the creation of a task force be involved in the selection and
approval of that Master Development Plan.
We would appreciate this item being added to the January agenda
of the City of Miami Commission and request a special appearance
at that time.
If you have any questions or wish to discuss this further, please
feel free to call me at 371-8484.
Sincerely,
Cyrus E. Hornsby, III, Chairman
Watson Island Committee
