RESOLUTION NO. 9 R-1 S 1
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS
TO THE EIGHTEEN (18) MEMBER CITYWIDE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY BOARD IN
ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION 87-1006, ADOPTED
BY THE CITY COMMISSION ON NOVEMBER 19, 1987.
WHEREAS, by Resolution 87-1006, the City Commission on
November 19, 1987, expanded the Community Development Advisory
Board from thirteen (13) members to eighteen (18) members to
advise the City Commission on community development and housing
needs; and
WHEREAS, said Board is comprised of the following members:
- One representative (resident or property owner) from
each of the eight (8) Community Development target areas
to be appointed by the City Commission; and
- Ten (10) representatives to be appointed by the City
Commission, providing each Commissioner with two (2)
appointments to the Community Development Advisory
Board; and
WHEREAS, there are four (4) vacancies on the Board that
require an appointment by the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section I. The following individuals are hereby appointed
to the eighteen (18)-member Citywide Community Development
Advisory Board as follows:
1. Moises Eshkenazi, representing the Downtown Community
Development target area.
2. Cornelius Allen, representing the Model City Community
Development target area.

It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached resolution. This resolution provides appointments to the
Community Development Advisory Board by the City Commission.
Pursuant to Resolution 87-1006, adopted by the City Commission on
November 19, 1987, the C.D.A.B. was expanded from a thirteen (13)-
member to an eighteen (18)-member Board. One representative
(resident or property owner) from each of the eight (8) C.D. target
areas to be appointed by the City Commission, and ten (10)
representatives to be appointed by the City Commission, providing
each Commissioner with two appointments to the C.D.A.B.
Meetings were scheduled in each of the eight target areas to accept
nominations from individuals wishing to be considered by the City
Commission for appointment to the Advisory Board. The Downtown and
Model City representatives have yet to be appointed.
The following individuals were recommended to represent the Downtown
and Model City target areas:

BACKGROUND
The Department of Community Development has prepared the attached
resolution regarding the appointment of the remaining members to the
Community Development Advisory Board pursuant to Resolution 87-1006,
adopted November 19, 1987. The term of membership on the Board
shall expire September 1, 1989, or at such time as the successor
members are duly appointed by he City of Miami Commission.
