RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF TWO
(2) VIDEO CASSETTE RECORDERS, VALUED AT $300
EACH, FROM C.C. A.L.I/ CORPORATION FOR USE BY
THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION AND
PUBLIC FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, two (2) video cassette recorders, valued at $300
each, have been offered to the City of Miami by C.C.A.L.1/
Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks, Recreation and Public
Facilities has need for this equipment for marketing City public
facilities and for educational and recreation programs in parks;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The donation of two (2) video cassette recorders,
valued at $300 each, from C.C.A.L.borporation is hereby accepted
for use by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Public
Facilities.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of February , 1988.

Recommendation:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached resolution to accept the donation of two (2) Video
Cassette Recorders, valued at $300. each, from C.C.A.L.
Corporation.
Background:
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities has
worked with Alberto Lopez and C.C.A.L. Corporation since 1981 to
produce weekend flea markets at the Miami Bobby Maduro Stadium.
Recently, the corporation offered to donate two (2) V.C.R.'s to
the City.
This equipment will be utilized by the department in its
marketing of the stadiums and exhibition center to event
promoters and in the parks for educational and recreation
programs. Additionally the VCR's will provide a means for video
presentations for grant -applications, the Adopt -A -Park program
and at public hearings for the 'City-wide Neighborhood Park
Renovations Project and its potential.bond issue.
