J-88-189!� 2/25/88 RESOLUTION NO. 88-197' A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE INTENT OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION THAT THERE SHALL NEVER BE AN EXTENSION OF MCDONALD STREET SOUTHERLY FROM GRAND AVENUE TO CHARLES AVENUE IN THE COCONUT GROVE AREA OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, the area between Grand Avenue and Charles Avenue in the Coconut Grove area of the City is an area which has historical and cultural significance to the citizens of the City of Miami; and WHEREAS, extension of McDonald Street southerly from Grand Avenue to Charles Avenue would destroy the ambiance of the entire Coconut Grove community; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. It is the intent of the Miami City Commission that there shall never be an extension of McDonald Street southerly from Grand Avenue to Charles Avenue in the Coconut Grove area of the City of Miami, Florida.
