Od� _ City Manager ENCLOSURES Recotmnendation It is, respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Emergency Ordinance appropriating $15,000 for a new security lighting system in Lu�¢nus mark, as requested by the residents of that neighborhood. Background: The Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Department has prepared the attached Emergency Ordinance which amends the Capital Improvements Appropriations Ordinance to reappropriate $75,000 from the "Citywide Neighborhood Park'Renovations Project" to the "Lurkmius Park Redevelopment Project - Phase I". Motion No. 88-155, passed on February 18, 1988, allocated funds for demolition of abandoned structures and a new security lighting system in Lummus Park, in response to the request of neighborhood residents. The attached Emergency Ordinance formalizes this Motion by appropriating an additional $75,000 for the new lighting syste.ii. Funds are currently available in the project for demolition.
