AT A TnTAL COST OF !122,5?d.50 FOR WINONA SANITARY SEWER PROJECT PHASE I C.I.P. PROJECT NO. 351169 AND AUTHORIZING A FINAL PAYMENT OF S?2,246.15. WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated October 1, 1QP5 between the City of Miami, Florida and Douglas N. Higgins, Inc. for WINONA SANITARY SEWER PROJECT PHASE I C.I.P. Project No. 351169; and WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed and Douglas N. Higgins, Inc. has furnished the required documents certifying that all bills for labor and materials have been paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the completed work be accepted and final payment made to the contractor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The completed work performed by Douglas N. Higgins, Inc. for WINONA SANITARY SEWER PROJECT PHASE I C.I.P. Project No. 351169 is hereby accepted at a total cost of $122,534.50. Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami are hereby authorized to pay Douglas N. Higgins, Inc. a balance of $22,246.15 as full and final payment for all work performed and all materials furnished in connection with WINONA SANITARY SEWER PROJECT PHASE I C.I.P. Project No. 151169. Cesar H. Odfo a City Manager ENc�osuREs RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution accepting the completed work performed by Douglas N. Higgins, Inc. at a total cost of $122,534.50 for WINONA SANITARY SEWER PROJECT PHASE I C.I.P. Project No. 351169 and authorizing a final payment of $22,246.15. BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works has determined that it is now in order for the Commission to accept the completed work and authorize final payment, after all conditions are met for Winona Sanitary Sewer Project Phase I C.I.P. Project No. 351lb9. Douglas N. Higgins, Inc. has completed the project consisting of constructing a new sanitary sewage system including approx. 435 linear feet of 18" - 24" sewer pipe, and 4 manholes together with all necessary appurtenances. The project is located on West Flagler Street at W. 58 Ct. A 66 Avenues. The total payment to the contractor will be $3,680.50 less than the original contract amount of $126,215.00 because not all of the Cash Allowance for Special Items was used.
