WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (USHUD) has informed the (-'-i,t,y that. it-- is eligible to apply for an additJonal $32,000 from the U.S. Depart-ment. of Housing and Urban Development. (USHUD) Emergency Shelter Grant as a result of the Fiscal- Year 1988 Further Continuing Appropriations Act. signed by the Presi.dent- December 22, 1987 t.o provide programs for the homeless, and WHEREAS, the add .it.ional. allocation wi 1 11. increase the City's Emergency Shelter Grant from $203,000 to $235,000; NOW, THEREFORE, 13E IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION .
