RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK
OF MIRI CONSTRUCTION, INC. AT A TOTAL COST
OF $549,061.68 FOR BUENA VISTA HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT = PHASE II (BID "A") C.I.P.
PROJECT NO. 341108 AND AUTHORIZING A FINAL
PAYMENT OF $15,257.30.
WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated March 13, 1086
between the City of Miami, Florida and Miri Construction, Inc.
for BUENA VISTA HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE II (BID "A") C.I.P.
Project No. 341108; and
WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed and
Miri Construction, Inc. has furnished the required documents
certifying that all bills for labor and materials have been
paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the
Department of Public Works recommend that the completed work be
accepted and final payment made to the contractor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by Miri
Construction, Inc. for BUENA VISTA HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE
II (BID "A") C.I.P. Project No. 341108)is hereby accepted at a
total cost of $549,067.68.
Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami are
hereby authorized to pay Miri Construction, Inc. a balance of
$15,257.30 as full and final payment for all work performed and
all materials furnished in connection with BUENA VISTA HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT - PHASE II (BID "A") C.I.P. Project No. 341108.

Resolution for Final Payment
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached resolution accepting the completed work performed by MIRI
Construction, Inc. at a total cost of $549,067.68 for BUENA VISTA
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE II (BID "A") C.I.P. Project No.-341108
and authorizing a final payment of $15,257.30.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Public Works has determined that it is now in
order for the Commission to accept the completed work and
authorize final payment, after all conditions are met for Buena
Vista Highway Improvement - Phase II (Bid "A") C.I.P. Project No.
341108.
Miri Construction has completed the project consisting of clearing
and grading, construction of asphaltic -pavement, concrete curbs
and/or gutters, concrete sidewalk, storm sewer facilities and
landscaping bounded by N.W. 47-49 Streets between N. Miami Avenue
and N.W. 2 Avenue.
The total payment to the contractor will be $7,347.23 less than
the original contract amount of $556,414.91 because not all of the
proposal items were used.
