WHEREAS, the South Fl.ori.da Employment. and Training Consortium has awarded the Neighborhoods Jobs Program of the City of Miami. $130,000 to provide a job development. and pl.ace:ment project for Cuban/Haitian entrants and refugees; and WHEREAS, funds from the aforesaid. award are retroactive to March 29, 1988 and this legislation is presented as an emergency ordinance to recover operating costs incurred at the commencement of the award; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. The following Special. This appropriation is contingent upon funding allocation from the South Florida Employment and Training Consortium and the City Manager's acceptance thereof. Adoption of the proposed emergency ordinance authorizes the Ci_ty,, Manager to accept the grant, establishes a new special revenue fund appropriating the funds from the grant and authorizes the City .Manager to enter into the necessary implementing agreement.
