A RESOLUTION ACCEPTINC THE COMPLETED WORK
OF MAN CON, INC. AT A TOTAL COST OF
$532,246.41 FOR OVERTOWN/PARK WEST
SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT C.I.P. PROJECT
NO, 35I280 AND AI!THORIZING A FINAL PAYMENT
OF S54,820.66.
WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated October 29, 1987
between the City of Miami, Florida and Man Con, Inc. for
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT C.I.P. Project
No. 351280; and
WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed and
Man Con, Inc. has furnished the required documents certifying
that all bills for labor and materials have been paid in full
in connection with the aforesaid contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the
Department of Public Works recommend that the completed work be
accepted and final payment made to the contractor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by Man Con, Inc.
for OVERTOWN/PARK WEST SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT C.I.P.
Project No. 351280 is hereby accepted at a total cost of
$532,246.41.
Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami are
hereby authorized to pay Man Con, Inc. a balance of $54,820.66
as full and final payment for all work performed and all
materials furnished in connection with OVERTOWN/PARK WEST
SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT C.I.P. Project No. 351280.

Resolution for Final Payment
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached resolution accepting the completed work performed by Man
Con, Inc. at a total cost of $532,246.41 for OVERTOWN/PARK WEST
SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT PROJECT C.I.P. Project No. 351280 and
authorizing a final payment of $54,820.66.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Public Works has determined that it is now in
order for the Commission to accept the completed work and
authorize final payment, after all conditions are met for
Overtown/Park West Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project C.I.P.
Project No. 351280,
Man Con, Inc. has completed the project consisting of the
replacement of portions of an existing sanitary sewage system
using 8"-24" ESVC and DIP with all necessary appurtenances in an
area bounded by North Miami Avenue, N.W. 3 Avenue, N.W. 5-10
Streets.
The total payment to the contractor will be $58,721.59 less than
the original contract amount of S590,968.00 because not all of the
Cash Allowance for Special Items was used.
