RESOLUTION NO. 08-67 0
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 11SF AND CLOSURE OF
CERTAIN STREETS AND THOROUGHFARES IN
CONNECTION WITH THE A.T.T. FOURMAN CORPORATE
CHALLENGE TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE COCONUT GROVE
BICYCLE CLUB, INC. ON AUGUST 6, 1988, SUBJECT
TO THE ISSUANCE Or PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENTS
OF POLICE AND FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION
SERVICES AND THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE CITY
WILL BE INSURED AGAINST ANY POTENTIAL
LIABILITY; FURTHER CONDITIONED UPON ORGANIZERS
PAYING FOR ALL NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY
SERVICES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage and the use
and closure of certain streets and thoroughfares luring the
A.T.T. Fourman Corporate Challenge the following streets are
hereby closed to through vehicle traffic from 7:00 A.M. and 5:00
P.M. on August 6, 1988 as specified below:
Northwest Twelfth Avenue from Northwest Seventh
Street east to Southwest Fifth Avenue.
Southwest Fifth Avenue from Southwest Twelfth
Avenue to Southwest Twenty-fifth Road.
Southwest Twenty-fifth Road from Southwest Fifth
Avenue to Southwest First Avenue.
Southwest First Avenue from Southwest Twenty -Fifth
Road to Southwest Fifteenth Road.
Southwest Fifteenth Road from Southwest First
Avenue to Southwest Fifth Avenue.
Southwest Fifth Avenue from Southwest Fifteenth
Road to Southwest Twenty-fifth Road.
Southwest Twenty-fifth Road from Southwest Fifth
Avenue to Southwest Third Avenue.
Southwest Third Avenue from Southwest Twenty-fifth
Road to Southwest Twelfth Avenue.
Southwest Twelfth Avenue from Southwest Twenty-
fifth Road to Coral Way.

Northwest Sixteenth Avenue from Northwest Sixth

Northwest Fourteenth Avenue from Northwest Third
Street to Northwest Sixteenth Avenue.
Northwest Sixteenth Avenue from Northwest Third
Street to Northwest Fifth Street.
Included in the herein closure are all streets,
avenues, alleys, ways ana thoroughfares which
intersect the enumerate) areas del ineatel in this
Section.
Section 2. Such closing of streets is subject to State
approval and issuance of permits by the Departments of Police anti
Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. Said permit from the
Department of Police is to be issued upon full approval of the
Chief of Police after giving all Niue consideration to the safety
and traffic needs of residents, businesses and religious
institutions in the area for entering and crossing through said
arterials and upon the favorable exercise of the City Manager's
judgement predicated upon all factors set forth herein.
Section 3. Such authorization is hereby subject to the
organizers obtaining insurance requirements as mandated by the
City of Miami and paying for the necessary cost of City services.
